Ritz Theater Seeks Donations for Necessary Renovations.

The Ritz Theatre in Rockville, IN is currently seeking donations for the renovation and preservation of
the historic theater. Built in 1912, the Ritz Theatre has provided a home to stage productions and
first-run movies for over 100 years. The last major renovation occurred in 2003, and in order to
ensure the longevity of this historical facility, a timely renovation is desperately needed.
The renovation project includes a complete update of the electrical system throughout the
building. This critical update will allow the installation of a new lighting and curtain and rigging system
to enhance technical capabilities for live performances. With these renovations, the Ritz Theatre
would have the proper amenities to host traveling, professional entertainment. It is our hope that the
theatre will be able to provide Parke County with an entertainment venue that can provide a safe,
enjoyable experience for all patrons for years to come.
The total cost of this renovation project is $500,000. The theatre is currently seeking donations of
any amount to help meet the goal. For this project, the following donor levels have been introduced:
 $1,000+ - Designer
 $5,000+ - Star
 $10,000+ - Director
 $20,000+ - Producer
 $50,000+ - Executive Producer
Donors will be publicly recognized in a new display at the theatre, highlighting the renovation
project. Donors will also be recognized through local media outlets.
